Reading Accelerator Middle School Edition Getting Started Teacher Workshop

Training Description:

Module 1 will provide a brief introduction to the characteristics of a struggling reader, the pedagogy, and how Reading Accelerator incorporates all the components of the Structured Literacy approach. All teacher and student materials are reviewed, includingEPS Connect.

In Module 2, after a model lesson, participants experience all steps, each step of the lesson is practiced, analyzed, and discussed. Teachers receive explicit, hands-on practice in each of the strategies presented in the Reading Accelerator lessons.

In Module 3, a Customer Success Specialist will lead an overview of digital components including EPS Reading Assistant, which provides online reading practice with real-time adaptive feedback and micro-interventions for students along with ongoing progress monitoring. Onboarding support and assistance are also included during this module.
